SYNOPSIS
Set in the late 1930's, the action takes place in the drawing room of a manor house owned by the moderately wealthy Mildred Bagshot, who is kept company by her patient and astute niece Dorothy. Attended by Bunting the butler, Mildred welcomes her guests for a weekend in the country. A retired English Colonel with the prerequisite stiff upper lip and his wife, a shady French art dealer and his moll, and a well meaning local sleuth who seems to attract murder - they’re all here, and all caught up in the antics which follow a murder in the house. Enter the ridiculously inept local inspector with his much brighter constable, who battles against the odds and his own incompetence to solve the murder. It soon becomes clear that the murderer isn’t finished yet; will the miscreant be unmasked before everyone else has met their doom?
