DOGFIGHT THE MUSICAL n 1967, Eddie Birdlace returns from the Vietnam War to San Francisco, where he recalls his last night stateside in 1963. With his Marine buddies, the “Three Bees,” he took part in a cruel “dogfight” contest - bringing the ugliest girl to a party. Eddie chooses Rose Fenny, a shy waitress, but her kindness and resilience challenge his perspective. Though hurt by the truth, Rose refuses to be defined by the contest. Based on the 1991 film, Dogfight explores 1960s military culture, the loss of youthful invincibility, and the lasting impact of compassion.
