Stevenage Lytton Players 2026 Notice of AGM
Date : Thursday 17th September 2026 at 7pm
At the 2026 Annual General meeting as per the Constitution we are required to elect Trustees by the membership at the AGM (clause 13. (3)) along with Executive and Management positions.
Trustees
The Stevenage Lytton Players trustees are inviting members to indicate their interest to become a trustee. Here is a document outlining the responsibilities of a trustee. We would encourage you to read this along with the SLP constitution before applying. If you wish to be considered for a trustee position or have any questions please email trustees@lyttonplayers.co.uk by no later than midnight on the 20th August 2026. Please include a written statement on why you would like to hold a trustee position and any relevant experience for the role.
As per our constitution (clause 11.(1) & clause 13. (3)) all applicants to become a trustee will be elected by the members who are in attendance at the AGM.
Executive Committee
We are also inviting members to apply to be considered for application to one of the following Executive positions, all whose terms will have ceased at the AGM. Applications will be vetted by the Trustees and then proposed for election by the membership at the AGM.
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Production Coordinator – this role replaces the former Business Manager Role. Its
key responsibility will be to work with the creative section reps and the tech team to ensure we have a viable and exciting show calendar.
We are also looking for someone to take on a non-elected Health and Safety role. Please send your interest along with a statement outlining why you wish to be considered for the position to trustees@lyttonplayers.co.uk by no later than midnight on the 20th
August 2026.
Management Committee
Management positions that are also to be filled by election at the AGM are:
• Centre Manager
• Drama Representative
• Events Manager
• Front of House Manager
• Marketing Manager
• Membership Manager
• Technical Manager
• Youth Representative
If you are interested in standing for any of these positions, please email secretary@lyttonplayers.co.uk or indicate your interest via the form that will be posted at the theatre by no later than midnight on the 10th September. Each role will require a proposer and a seconder to nominate them.
For ALL elected positions you will be expected to make a short speech at the AGM on why you wish to hold the position and answer any questions from the floor.
AGM Motions
If you wish to propose a motion at the AGM, please send the motion details to trustees@lyttonplayers.co.uk no later than midnight on the 20th August 2026. A final agenda will be sent out two weeks before the AGM.
