The Story
The classic musical adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, with
sparkling book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and lush melodies by Frederick
Loewe. Set in 1912 London, it tells the story of distinguished phonetics
professor Henry Higgins, who bets a fellow linguist that in six months he can
transform common flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a lady by teaching her to
speak properly.
