The Stevenage Lytton Players Autumn 2006 Musical Production was My Fair Lady performed at the Gordon Craig Theatre
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of ‘My Fair Lady’ we performed this popular show as our Autumn Production. The show had roles of all sizes and good chorus numbers. The Director was Maxine Holmes, MD – Leigh Smith and we had a new choreographer – Louise Airey.
The classic musical adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, with sparkling book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and lush melodies by Frederick Loewe. Set in 1912 London, it tells the story of distinguished phonetics professor Henry Higgins, who bets a fellow linguist that in six months he can transform common flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a lady by teaching her to speak properly.
