A Dickens of a Christmas
Evening Fri 21 Dec 2007 7:45pm Tickets £5
in advance
|
Lytton Players Roger and Rosemary Brown are joined by Dickens Society performers John and Pamela Knox for a dramatic reading of Dickens' perennial favourite "A Christmas Carol". Using an original Charles Dickens reading script and dressing the Lytton stage to evoke the atmosphere of Victorian Christmas the four will bring to life the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come as they visit miserly Scrooge and cause him to re-evaluate his life and his treatment of Bob Cratchett and his family. Come and join the fun and enjoy mince pies, mulled wine and Christmas carols round the piano accompanied by Mike Payne. We'd like to suggest you make the evening even more enjoyable by hiring your Victorian costume from the wardrobe for a donation of only £2.50 and get your "Whiskers" fitted on the door. Tickets available from Dave Raphael on 0870 777 7619. All the proceeds go to the Squirrel Fund so please support us and book early.. |

That's right – The Entertainment Evening is BACK and it needs YOUR HELP! We need as many people as possible for this social event – sing a song, tell a few jokes, act out a scene... Be serious, be funny, be completely out-of-tune! It doesn't matter, just as long as you have fun doing it! Use the evening as an opportunity to show the society what you can do, or just have a drink and watch as your fellow Thespians entertain YOU instead of a theatre full of strangers! If you'd like to perform, please speak to Imelda or Emma at any rehearsal |
